"The Science of Life"
Ayu = Life Veda = Science
Ayu = Life Veda = Science
Ayurveda is the Traditional Medicine of India which has been practiced continuously for over 3000 years.
At the foundation of Ayurveda is the concept that we are each unique.
We are each made of a constitutional balance of the 5 elements, known as Dosha Prakruti. This is established at conception.
The optimal environment for health exists when our Prakruti has been re-established and is maintained on all levels - Body, Mind and Consciousness (Spirit).
When we focus equally on the 3 Pillars of Life: Proper Food ~ Adequate Sleep ~ Expense of Energy, we can enjoy a balanced and healthy life.
Ayurveda teaches that in order to achieve complete healing, we must treat the Root Cause vs Symptoms .
The root cause of disease takes hold when we fail to follow the cycles of Nature.
Ayurveda is known to be helpful for (but by no means limited to) the following conditions:
Skin & Hair Disorders, Digestive and/or Elimination Issues, Chemo Detox & Recovery, Seasonal Cleanse, Men's & Women's Issues, Chronic Issues, Stress Reduction, Sinus Congestion, Allergies, Weight Gain/Loss, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Habitual Routines, Symptomatic Relief, Pain Management, Mental Focus, Nutrition and Eating Habits, Energetic Balance, Support for Auto-Immune Conditions, Injury Recovery.
Ayurveda uses herbal formulas, a healing diet, exercise, daily routines, 5 sense therapies, lifestyle and Spiritual practices to re-establish balance in the Physical, Mental and Energetic Bodies.

Now it can find its place as the profession grows and more educational opportunities will emerge for this level of highly trained and specialized professional.
