Alissa Page, AyD ~
I am an Ayurvedic Doctor (AyD) practicing in Fort Collins, CO. I graduated from the top Ayurveda school in the US, the California College of Ayurveda. I also received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
In practice I teach people to become self-healers. I use herbal medicines, diet and traditional Ayurvedic therapies to support patients on their journey of healing themselves.
I like to take a straight forward and down to earth approach with my patients. I am able to discuss sensitive topics with compassion insight and perspective.
I feel that my purpose in life is to assist people, to offer nourishment and support in times of need, and to educate with the goal of long term self-care.
I have additional certifications in Ayurvedic Massage and Body Therapies, Herbal Medicine, Yoga, Meditation, Homeopathy, Reflexology, Acupressure, Yoga and Vedic Astrology.
I have taught Prenatal Yoga since 2008 and earned my 500 hour Yoga Teacher certification in 2010 from the School of Shambhava Yoga.
I am a Level 5 AIAC Jyotishacharya (Teacher of Vedic Astrology).
Prior to practicing Ayurveda, I worked as a bread baker for over 21 years.
My Philosophy:
Education, Treatment, Support
I have come to realize that:
~ We have a responsibility to take the best possible care of ourselves (but we are often too distracted to do so).
~ Ayurveda reminds us of what our higher intelligence has known all along.
~ Each person is uniquely individual and is best treated that way.
~ No one should ever feel ignored, disrespected or without options for health care - everyone deserves compassion and respect.
~ The ultimate power that we have in life is to take great care of ourselves (mind, body & consciousness).
~ For any treatment to work, you must be able to trust and to have faith in the care that you receive.
~ We should each take ownership of our own well-being and also take charge of our own well-care.
~ There are no lost causes - something can always be done to improve the quality of life.
~ It is a blessing to be able to teach and share with others the things that we have learned.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ~ teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
